The Book
“Can You Stop The Rain?”
If you’re a woman of faith who is looking for a Godly relationship, you already know that meeting a man that shares your faith can sometimes be a challenge in this generation. Recent Barna research shows a surprising shift in church attendance: for the first time in decades, men are now attending church more regularly than women, with 43% of men and 36% of women reporting weekly attendance in 2025. That may sound like good news for single Christian women looking for godly men, but attendance numbers do not tell the whole story. A man being in church does not automatically mean he is single, emotionally available, spiritually mature, or ready for a relationship. So, while the dating pool may be changing, the challenge is not simply finding more men in church, it is finding men who are truly available and aligned in faith, character, and purpose.
I know you want to please God with your relationship choices, but due to a smaller dating pool for single Christian women, when a man that you like comes along, you may not be so quick to turn him away. The guy may be attractive with a lot of confidence and swagger, all the stuff that makes you want to bite the back out of your chair. Things may start off great, but over time you start seeing disturbing trends that you know could lead to trouble, but you might choose to ignore the red flags because you don’t want to be alone anymore. If I'm describing you, I know exactly where you’re at.
In fact, this book tells the story of a woman of faith that meets a charming, witty, intriguing man. He seems perfect in every way except for one technicality. He’s not a Christian. He’s a real charmer and always knows what to say and do, so she allows herself to grow closer to him even though she knows they are spiritually compatible. She loves how he makes her feel. She had no intention of falling for him, but she was. She thought her problems were solved when he suddenly decides to embrace Christianity to try to fit into her world and give her a reason to let down her guard.
What he discovers is that the more he learns about God, the more he realizes that seeking God to fit in her world may not be enough for him. He begins to be enticed with seeking God for himself in hopes of putting his life on the right track. If the story had ended here, it would be a praise report, but that would be way too easy. In fact, this was the beginning of a cautionary tale. When God tells us in his word not to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers, we should take heed to that word for our own good. Everything that glitters is not gold.
This is my story. I’m the “Christian woman” in this book. Get ready for intrigue, suspense, and heartache riddled through each pulsating chapter as you laugh and cry your way to the explosive conclusion, but most of all I hope your ready to learn from my mistakes so you don't have to make the same ones yourself.
